Communications and control

Clear, efficient and reliable communications are an integral part of any safety management operation.

This applies regardless of the type of sports ground or the nature of the event.

It is stressed that the provision of modern equipment and sophisticated systems is not, in itself, sufficient to guarantee good communications. The skills, awareness, efficiency and teamwork of those individuals who use the equipment are of equal importance.
