Home / About us / Our people / Jane Sawyers Jane SawyersReappointed 12/12/2021 until 11/12/2024 Jane Sawyers is the former Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police. She joined Staffordshire Police in 1984 and rose through the ranks to become Chief Constable in 2014 before her retirement in 2017. She received the Queen’s Police Medal for her contribution to policing in 2017. In 2018 she joined Staffordshire University as a visiting professor, becoming Associate Professor of Policing Practice in 2020. Since 2015 Jane has been a Trustee of The Police Arboretum Memorial Trust.
