Home / News / Football Governance Bill published Football Governance Bill published The Government has today introduced the Football Governance Bill in Parliament, which outlines details of a new Independent Football Regulator. This Regulator will focus on the financial stability of men’s professional football. It will have three core principles: Improving financial sustainability of clubs, Ensuring financial resilience across the leagues, and Safeguarding English football’s heritage. Speaking about the announcement, Ken Scott MBE, SGSA’s Interim Chief Executive said: “The Bill is an important step in securing the financial stability and future of football in England Wales.
