Business impact target reporting

The Government introduced the requirement for regulators to publish an annual report on business impact in 2015, with the aim of reducing the burden of regulation on business.

This required regulators to publish:

  • their qualifying regulatory provisions (QRPs)
  • an assessment of the economic impact on business of those QRPs
  • a summary of regulatory provisions that are non-qualifying regulatory provisions (NQRPs).

The requirement to publish a business impact target return was removed in 2023.  However, for transparency, below are the returns from SGSA for the previous three years.
